Arture

Arture provides a cruelty-free, premium alternative to leather wallets, bags, and travel accessories. Their products are made from sustainably sourced natural cork. Cork harvesting does not involve cutting down trees. The bark regenerates every nine years. Arture products are lined with organic certified cotton that is colored with natural herbal dyes. The paper packaging is handmade from recycled cotton rags.


ArtVision Meditation

ArtVision Meditation has oil paintings and watercolors that focus on nature, rural life, women, and Sri Lanka's cultural heritage. The founder is an art teacher for children. Her work has been recognized by groups in South Korea, Japan, Germany and the United States.


Arugam Bay College

Arugam Bay College is an international English language kindergarten and primary school on Sri Lanka's east coast that provides an innovative and creative learning program to meet children's individual needs with a special focus on diversity, community, and the environment. They combine a traditional syllabus with a holistic approach that encourages a natural flow of learning. Children have the opportunity to play, explore, go on adventures, and learn hands-on practical life skills. Activities include swimming, surfing, skating, yoga, gardening, fishing, Sinhala and Tamil classes, music, and traditional dance. Parental involvement in both the children’s learning and the running of the school is encouraged.​ Arugam Bay College organizes yearly fundraisers to cover the costs of local children from low income families. They also help with beach cleanups and raise funds for local national parks.


Aruma Services

Aruma serves people with disabilities throughout the east coast of Australia and supports them to live the life they want and the life they choose. They coordinate National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) services including children's services, therapeutic services, social and community services, home and living support, and school leaver employment support. They also create supported employment opportunities through a portfolio of businesses. Aruma Services include facilities management, commercial laundry services, medical pack and forensic kit assembly, paper and cardboard recycling, packaging and distribution, and metal and wood manufacturing. Aussie Biscuits produces biscuits for retail and hospitality customers and fundraising groups from a factory in the rural community of Forbes, New South Wales. Summerland Farm is an ecotourism attraction, restaurant, cafe, and event facility that produces avocado and macadamia in the Ballina and Byron Hinterland. Aruma is a Social Traders Certified Social Enterprise and a registered not-for-profit organization. All surplus is reinvested towards their mission.


Aruna Farm

Aruna Farm produces organic cinnamon and other perennial crops in southern Sri Lanka. The farm is verified under a local organic participatory guarantee system (PGS) and was recognized for the use of mulching and live fences. Aruna Farm specializes in value-added wellness products, like cinnamon tea and cinnamon bee honey, under the name Astro Cinnamon. Their mission is to raise local awareness about the health benefits of cinnamon and organic cultivation.


Arvor & Mor Jewellery

Avor & Mor Jewellery is inspired by wild Cornwall, committed to social and environmental responsibility, and made to last. Their timeless earrings, necklaces, rings, bracelets, cufflinks, bookmarks, keyrings, and pet tags are handcrafted from recycled fine silver and recycled sterling silver. They work with their suppliers to reduce environmental impact and ensure workers, their families, and their communities are protected from human rights abuses and provided with safe working conditions and a living wage. Avor & Mor Jewellery has a sustainability roadmap that is shared online and is working towards net zero carbon emissions by 2030. They accept old silver from customers, recycle all silver dust and off-cuts, and offer plastic-free packaging that is easily reusable, home compostable, or recyclable. Ten percent of their Charity Recycle Me Collection is donated to The Wave Project, which started in Cornwall and uses surf therapy to help young people experiencing social, emotional, or mental health challenges. Avor & Mor Jewellery is part of United Nations Race to Zero.


Aryu Herbals

Aryu Herbals is a registered Ayurveda company that uses indigenous knowledge and medicinal plants to create value-added wellness products. They specialize in local coffee blended with centella, moringa, brahmi, coriander, ginger, cardamom, kumbuk, and cinnamon. They also offer a line of herbal face masks made with clove oil, cinnamon, turmeric, ferula, neem, and other herbal ingredients. Aryu Herbals sources coffee, cinnamon, brahmi, and gotukola directly from a group of local farmers. They use a portion of profits to support community initiatives like book donation drives and cow rescue programs.


Asali Bali

Asali Bali aims to develop and promote the bamboo construction industry by engaging highly skilled artisans from local communities and applying traditional Balinese knowledge in a modern context. The team integrates structural engineers, project managers, and experienced bamboo craftspeople. Together with a network of professional architects and partners, they provide a full spectrum of services from engineering consulting to construction and full project delivery of bamboo structures. Projects include eco resorts, spas, retail boutiques, restaurants, schools, warehouses, offices, bungalows, and more. Asali Bali has developed sustainable approaches to procurement, design, construction, and aftercare. They share this information through online resources and structural bamboo workshops.


A Seat at the Table Books

A Seat at the Table Books fosters community and inclusivity by offering a safe, affirming space for all identities through their cafe and bookstore in Elk Grove, California. They provide a diverse selection of books, serve food and drinks, and offer an event space for hire. A Seat at the Table Books hosts book fairs, writing groups, craft sessions, and other activities, facilitates book donations to youth, teachers, and community groups, and promotes education, literacy, skill building, community development, and mutual aid through their nonprofit arm, A Seat at the Table Community Initiative (ASATTCI). Their coffee is roasted on an all-electric, zero-emission roaster. A Seat at the Table Books is a member of Rainbow Chamber, The National LGBT Chamber of Commerce, Organize Elk Grove, Progressive Parents of Elk Grove, American Independent Business Alliance (AMIBA), California Independent Booksellers' Alliance (CALIBA), and American Booksellers Association.


Aseel

Aseel onboards underserved communities to the digital economy through an online marketplace and a transparent aid platform. They started with "Buy Good," a mobile app designed to connect skilled artisans in Afghanistan with global buyers. They later expanded to "Do Good," which enables global supporters to participate in campaigns and send and track emergency packages and direct aid to Afghan families and individuals with registered Aseel Omid ID cards. Aseel's Atalan Network helps ensure digital inclusion and create local economic opportunities. Atalan means heroes in Pashto. Network members help artisans, small businesses, and families in need by creating shops, listing products, registering them for Omid ID cards, and ensuring aid delivery. They receive compensation or reimbursement for completed tasks. Aseel was started by Afghan youth. They have onboarded artisans and underserved communities in Afghanistan and Turkey and plan to expand to all 46 countries on the United Nations least developed countries (LDC) list.


Asgiriya

Asgiriya Estates follows sustainable agriculture practices to protect the environment, public health, human communities, and animal welfare. Their mission is to produce healthy food without compromising future generations' ability to do the same. The farm is verified under a local participatory guarantee system (PGS) and produces organic coconut, cashew, free range eggs and more.


Asha Handicrafts Association

Asha Handicrafts Association was founded in 1975 to connect Indian artisans with global fair trade markets, preserve traditional crafts, empower women, uplift communities, and break the cycle of poverty. They partner with fair trade importers around the world to supply handcrafted housewares, accessories, toys, games, stationery, and other fair trade products. Asha Handicrafts provides fair pay, capacity building, and marketing support and organizes medical aid and education projects. They prioritize local materials that are sustainably sourced, biodegradable, and free from harmful chemicals. Asha Handicrafts is a World Fair Trade Organization guaranteed member and a member of Fair Trade Forum India. They reinvest all surplus towards the social welfare of their artisans and their families.


Ashley Davis Collective

Ashley Davis Collective offers coaching, consulting, workshops, and training to companies, social intrapreneurs, and changemakers who want to contribute to a better future at the intersections of business and society, our planet, our work, and our lives. They focus on enabling a new kind of courageous leadership in business that is based on compassion, curiosity, creativity, and consciousness. The vision is a world where work and life is purposeful and fulfilling and corporate responsibility and sustainability departments no longer need to exist because ecosystem thinking and values-based leadership have been integrated across companies. Ashley Davis Collective uses a percent of proceeds to provide pro bono or deeply discounted coaching for social entrepreneurs and changemakers who cannot afford their services. They are part of the Aspen Institute, Soles4Souls, and the Torrey Project.

Ashoka is a citizen-sector organization that has pioneered the field of social entrepreneurship. Since 1980, they have identified and supported more than 3,500 of the world's leading social entrepreneurs. Ashoka Fellows directly impact the lives of millions of people across the globe. They also provide examples, ideas, and insights that can serve as a roadmap in a world of accelerating change. Ashoka mobilizes a global community to embrace these new frameworks, transform institutions and cultures, and build an "everyone a changemaker world." Priority is giving to helping children and young people develop empathy and other changemaking skills.


Ash White

Ash White is an ethical fashion and lifestyle brand that aims to support traditional artisan communities, inspire a deeper connection with what we wear, and create good design that is good for our planet. Their unique pieces are handmade in limited quantities. Fabric selection, sourcing, and other design decisions are based on sustainability. Ash White prioritizes GOTS organic textiles, GRS recycled materials, handwoven fabrics, and natural dyes. They use cardboard boxes and paper tape for internal operations and compostable bags for shipping. Ash White is committed to maintaining supportive long-term relationships with their artisan partners in India and Sri Lanka. They are working towards becoming Carbon Neutral.


Asian Institute for Impact Measurement and Management

Asian Institute for Impact Measurement and Management (AIMM) drives social and environmental progress in Asia through impact measurement and management. They focus on research, innovation, and thought leadership in social and environmental impact, public policy, digital impact governance, and sustainable finance. AIMM curates a repository of transparent impact data, reports, and journals to share knowledge grounded in advanced research, best practices, and international standards. Their expertise helps government, academia, and industry advance environmental, social, and governance (ESG) and sustainability-related education and training, cross-disciplinary projects, consulting, and policy development. They provide scholarships for low-income students. AIMM is a research institute within the National Central University of Taiwan. They are a member of the Yunus Social Business Centre, AVPN, and Social Value International.


ASIGE

ASIGE improves the lives of women and girls in northern Ghana through skill development and sustainable livelihood diversification. They specialize in hand woven baskets and shopping bags made from locally harvested elephant grass. More than 90 percent of the women artisans are not able to read and write, and they use their proceeds to support girls' education. ASIGE covers secondary school costs for girls in need, offers vocational training for teen mothers, provides reusable sanitary pads to enable rural girls to stay in school, and organizes reproductive health education. They actively work for social inclusion and environmental protection. ASIGE is a member of the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO).


Asiri Hela Sahal

Asiri Hela Sahal uses organically grown heirloom rice to create natural products and a healthy, poison-free society. They cultivate their own paddy for home consumption and use the surplus to produce traditional rice porridge for the local market. The discarded paddy husks are made into compost fertilizer to enrich the soil. Asiri Hela Sahal creates local employment opportunities, provides discounts to low-income families, and contributes a portion of all profits to provide medicine for cancer patients.


As One Network

As One Network Suzuka Community started in 2001 as an initiative to help create a new society and a new harmonious way of living and working together. The community has developed the ScienZ method, which stands for Scientific Investigation of the Essential Nature from the point of Zero. By investigating and clarifying the essential nature of different topics, they aim to move beyond fictions that humans have created, such as borders, rules, and money, and design and realize a better way of human living. The ScienZ Institute studies essential human nature, the ScienZ School helps people grow as individuals and make full use of their own abilities, and the As One Network Suzuka Community is an experimental urban ecovillage where people practice a different way of living. Community initiatives include farming activities on abandoned land, a popular lunchbox delivery service with local produce from the farms, reforestation of the Satoyama woodland, study tours, and educational programs. As One Network hosts visitors from around the world and has exchange programs in Korea, Brazil, and Switzerland. They are part of the Global Ecovillage Network, Gaia Education, Local Futures, and the Transition Town movement.


Assembled Threads

Assembled Threads creates employment opportunities for refugee, asylum seeker, and migrant women in Australia and delivers circular economy solutions for uniforms and personal protective equipment. They use locally made fabrics and recycled materials to manufacture high-visibility safety vests, medical scrubs, work shirts, and other workwear. Assembled Threads diverts textile waste from landfills by recycling offcuts, providing end-of-life uniform recycling and upcycling services, and selling upcycled products through their online Retread shop. They recruit people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds who struggle to find employment due to limited language skills, workplace experience, or educational qualifications. Assembled Threads provides paid training and apprenticeships, ethical wage employment, and a safe, inclusive, and supportive workplace. Their manufacturing hubs are embedded in disadvantaged communities to ensure easy access for those most in need. Assembled Threads is a Social Traders Certified Social Enterprise and a member of Social Enterprise Network Victoria (SENVIC).
